The management and staff of the Three Cities Group have formed two enthusiastic teams of cyclists, who are currently training for their Super Cycling Challenge which will take place on 19 November until 22 November 2008. The objective of this challenge is to give cyclists an incredible opportunity to ride from Johannesburg to Durban and to raise funds for a worthy cause – for the education for their employee’s children. The ‘Three Cities Group – Johannesburg to Durban 2008’ is a four day/three night cycling event traveling from Gold Reef City , Johannesburg, on the 19th November to The Riverside Hotel, Durban, on the 22 November (approximately 696 km). This cycle event is an amazing journey through wonderful countryside that riders can't normally access; the focus is not on racing, but on the spectacular scenery and team work for a GREAT CAUSE. The main objectives of raising the funds for this event are: to offer financial assistance to employees whose children wish to pursue a career within the hospitality and tourism industry thereby increasing the talent within this sector; to address scarce skills within the hospitality and tourism industry by upskilling from within; to create an awareness of various opportunities and career paths within the industry. Friday 19th September saw the enthusiastic cyclists coming together at Riverside Hotel where they met professional cyclist Dean Edwards - team leader of Team House of Paint. Now that all the cyclists know what they are in for, may the training press forward in anticipation of the race. The tough days of sore derrieres and tight thighs for these cyclists will not go unnoticed as it is being undertaken for a charitable cause, and we invite you to pledge your support to this worthy cause
